{"id":223,"date":"2014-09-10T15:47:39","date_gmt":"2014-09-10T19:47:39","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/web.thinkingcat.com\/wordpress\/?page_id=223"},"modified":"2023-02-24T08:58:49","modified_gmt":"2023-02-24T13:58:49","slug":"leslie-daigle-blurb","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.thinkingcat.com\/wordpress\/lesliedaigle\/leslie-daigle-blurb\/","title":{"rendered":"Leslie Daigle Blurb"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Leslie Daigle has been working at the intersection of technology, business\/economics and policy to drive effective change for more than twenty years.<\/p>\n<p>Always fascinated by the Internet\u2019s technology,\u00a0\u00a0 innovation and real world impact, she started her professional career working with Internet applications technologies for corporate commercial activities, and expanded to take on leadership roles within the premier Internet technology standardization organization, the Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF).<\/p>\n<p>Leslie is currently the Chief Technical Officer and Director of the Internet Integrity Program at the Global Cyber Alliance (GCA), f<span class=\"background-details\">urthering GCA\u2019s development and deployment of global solutions that contribute to eradicating cyber risk.<br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<p>Leslie is the Principal at ThinkingCat Enterprises, as well as co-founder and co-host of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.techsequences.org\">TechSequences<\/a> podcast, which explores the many facets of Internet technology, along with its intended (and sometimes unintended) consequences.<\/p>\n<p>Leslie was previously the Internet Society&#8217;s first Chief Internet Technology Officer.\u00a0 She joined the ISOC in 2007, and\u00a0 she helped\u00a0 to (re)create the global dialog on important technical issues, calling stakeholders to action by providing achievable targets and facilitating their own collaboration across (corporate) organizational boundaries until May 2014.<\/p>\n<p>Leslie is an elected member of the NANOG Board, since 2022.\u00a0 She is currently Chair of the board.\u00a0 She was an appointed member of the related Internet Architecture Board (IAB) from March 2000 to March 2008, and was the elected Chair of the IAB from 2002 to 2007.\u00a0 Prior to working for the Internet Society, she held the positions of Consulting Engineer at Cisco Systems, Director of Directory Research at VeriSign, and Vice President for Research at industry pioneer Bunyip Information Systems, among others.<\/p>\n<p>Leslie holds an M.Sc. in Computing &amp; Information Science from the University of Guelph, and a B.Sc. in Math and Computer Science from McGill University.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_133\" style=\"width: 236px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.thinkingcat.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/05\/LLD-sm-OK-April2014.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-133\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-133\" src=\"http:\/\/www.thinkingcat.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/05\/LLD-sm-OK-April2014-226x300.jpg\" alt=\"Leslie Daigle\" width=\"226\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.thinkingcat.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/05\/LLD-sm-OK-April2014-226x300.jpg 226w, https:\/\/www.thinkingcat.com\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/05\/LLD-sm-OK-April2014.jpg 600w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 226px) 100vw, 226px\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-133\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Leslie Daigle<\/p><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Leslie Daigle has been working at the intersection of technology, business\/economics and policy to drive effective change for more than twenty years.
